# How to Recover a Banned Number on Telegram

If your Telegram number’s been banned, you’ll have to contact Telegram’s customer support and ask them to recover your account. This may not guarantee that your account will be recovered, however.

### Contact Telegram Support via the Mobile App

On an iOS or Android device, you can contact Telegram’s customer support and appeal to have your account unbanned.

1. Launch Telegram.\

2. Type in the banned number.\

3. Tap on “Yes” when you’re asked if this is the number you’d like to use.\

4. You’ll see a notification informing you that the number’s banned, then select “Help.”\

5. Write an email asking them to assist with your account recovery.\
